Aujourd’hui 4 avril 2019, le cartel criminel de l’OTAN célèbre ses 70 ans. Créé en 1949, le Pacte atlantique se voulait une alliance « défensive » garantissant la souveraineté du « monde libre » contre le « péril rouge ». Non seulement cette prétendue menace communiste n’a jamais eu lieu, mais l’OTAN s’est servie de ce prétexte afin d’attaquer tout mouvement progressiste en Europe et en Amérique du Nord, mais aussi pour cibler les mouvements de libération nationale qui remettaient en cause l’ordre colonial dans les années 1950-1960.

Today, April 4, NATO’s criminal cartel turns 70 years old. Created in 1949, the Atlantic Pact was a “defensive” alliance guaranteeing the sovereignty of the “free world” against the “red danger”. Not only did this so-called communist threat never exist, but NATO used this pretext to attack any progressive movement in Europe and also to target national liberation movements that challenged the colonial order in the years 1950-1960.

Ce congrès sera l’occasion de débattre du rôle que doit assumer la jeunesse vénézuélienne dans la défense du processus bolivarien de transformation sociale et dans son approfondissement en vue de bâtir le socialisme.

The YCL-LJC Canada sends its warm and revolutionary greetings to the comrades of the Communist Youth of Venezuela (JCV) for the occasion of their 13th Convention. Organized between November 8 – 11 under the theme “In the face of the crisis of capitalism, we fight for the future”, it will be the occasion to debate the role that the Venezuelan youth will be called to assume in defense of the Bolivarian social change process and for its strengthening in order to build socialism.

Young men and women,

We, 21 Communist Youth Organizations that participated in the 14th Meeting of European Communist Youth Organisations in Athens, on the 23rd and 24th September of 2018, address you in an appeal to struggle for contemporary needs in education, work and life.

During the Meeting we, the Communist Youth Organisations, highlighted the enormous problems that the youth face and we informed each other on the more significant developments in each of our countries. We discussed the struggles of the youth, the essential conclusions we have drawn and we exchanged opinions on these. We acknowledge that the Communist Youth Organisations in Europe have in recent years made notable efforts to defend the rights of the youth and have waged important struggles against the capitalist system in today’s conditions. At the same time we have contributed to reinforcing and strengthening the Communist and Workers’ Parties in our countries, whilst we accumulate rich experience that can help us so that our future struggles will be more effective.
